Episode 28: Hydrogen Compression – Oliver Franz of Burckhardt Compression

Oliver Franz from Burckhardt Compression joins host Michael Haning to talk about Hydrogen. Up to this point, all the guests on the podcast have been in the natural gas compression world, but today we're branching out to talk about hydrogen. There are a lot of investments being made in the hydrogen space, so it's important for the gas compression industry to be aware of what's coming.

Oliver graduated from the University of Paderborn in 2000 with a diploma in Chemical Engineering and held different positions at a German EPC company and as Key Account Manager with a major pump and compressor OEM before joining the Burckhardt Compression group in 2007. He started managing the North American Sales Activities for the Compressor Monitoring division PROGNOST Systems, and was Member of the API 670 5th edition task force before he joined the Burckhardt Compression HME – Hydrogen team - in Jan 2022.
